Black & White with a Hint of Color

One of our most popular exhibits is back!

The exhibit provides an opportunity for people to experience the  creative inspiration of Michigan artists. 


This year's exhibition highlights more than 60 black and white pieces with a hint of color from Michigan artists.  It includes works in 2D & 3D, multi-media, and photography.  There is something for Everyone!

Workshops & Classes

At this time we will not be holding any in-person activities/events.  We, however, are committed to complying with MDHHS and CDC COVID-19 mandates and guidelines and when will begin to offer small classes on-site as soon as we can do so safely.  At such time, the following procedures will be required of all individuals entering the art center: Wearing a mask or face covering, use hand sanitizer when entering, have a temperature check and answer symptom questions.  Additionally, we will be limiting the on-site class sizes and the total number of people allowed in the art center at one time to allow for social distancing. All areas will be cleaned and disinfected on a nightly basis.

​The human figure is one of the most enduring themes in the visual arts, and has been the subject of drawings since prehistoric times.  Therefore, we strive to foster and support the discipline of Life drawing by providing fun, expressive and accessible drawing opportunities that embrace the human body as an art form.

Spend an afternoon learning a bit about art history and cultures from around the world.

...100 days of creative empowerment

Whether you have been creating for years or just starting out, this 15-week journey is designed to foster and empower the artist within.  Each week a local artist will share their skills to ignite your creativity. You will have an opportunity to engage in everything from painting, iPhone photography to comic book creation and so MUCH MORE!    

This series is brought to you in partnership with Crossroads Industries/Creative Pursuits and is supported by funding from Otsego Community Foundation.

Youth Art Studio & Exploration

Youth in grades 4th - 12th will have an opportunity each week to use their imagination to create never-seen-before characters.   They will be introduced to techniques associated with paints, inks, collage, clay and paper mache.​

Youth ART & Nature Workshop
Learn how things found in nature can be transformed to art

Youth in grades 3rd-12th will have an opportunity to learn how things found in nature can be transformed to art. Participants who complete the five-week program will receive a certificate of completion and an opportunity to submit their work in the Junior Nature Artwork Exhibit.  Students will be provided with an art kit and instructions of what items should be found in nature each week.  From the comfort of their own home, they will then follow along with an instructor led video on how to create their work of art.
