The following morning, I headed to the seafront village of Vik, noted for the Reynisfjara beach, a beautiful black volcanic sand beach with mountain cliffs, and offshore rock formations. We arrived after sunrise and the sun was already beginning to cast its morning light on the cliffs. To bring out the rugged beauty of Iceland, I slowed the shutter speed to soften the ocean surf against the black sand, while bringing out the morning light on the cliffs.
