Fireworks Show
15" x 20" framed on canvas photograph by Patrick Parker
Fireworks Show is one of the many many long exposure fireworks photographs that I have taken over the years. This photo was captured at a fireworks show after the Doobie Brother Concert in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 4, 2015. This firework photo stands out to me the most currently because of the colors and amount of small fireworks that were captured in the one exposure.
My next 'real' photography camera was the Nikon d3000 and my first dslr. While there was no video capability and the low light capabilities were not ideal, I was able to get a lot of amazing photographs out of this camera. I discovered that I can get a lot of great quality photographs by keeping my iso low and increasing exposure time. Long exposure photographs have become a strong forte for my identity as a photographer, and I was really able to learn a lot about light during this time. This camera was used for a photo exhibit at Kona Bistro in Oxford, Ohio between 2014 and 2016. I learned a big lesson in 2016, upon removal of the exhibit from the space, all physical copies and frames of 14 pieces were thrown in the trash by the restaurant manager and new ownership.
