Kids Art with Jill McKinleyIn this class with Jill McKinley, kids can create and take home their very own art projects in a variety of mediums and styles. Each week will offer a different project to be created, pay per individual class.
Tuesdays 3:30-4:30pm $10 per child, per week Ages 8-13 |
L.E.A.D. with Betsy YuskoThis year, L.E.A.D. students will focus on creating a variety of sculptures to be displayed in the community. From planning the design and gaining board approvals to sourcing the materials, students will learn the skills to confidently and appropriately bring art into their community.

Music and Literary Painting PromptJoin us for an artistic jam session! Artists will listen to a poem and paint or draw what they visualize while listening to Viola music playing in the background. Artists will have an opportunity to share their work at the end of the session.

100 Days Project
Do you ever feel creatively stumped? Gaylord Arts is hosting a 100 Days Project weekly community meet up. Each member will commit to working on something every day for 100 days. You can create whatever you want: learn something new, work on a skill, capture moments, start a collection. All it takes is 5 minutes a day (or however long you wish!). The ideas are endless and totally up to you. Each week we will meet to share whatever we’ve done...no pressure, just encouragement!

Beginners Needle Felting: Noel the Christmas Gnome with Linda Scott
This beginners class in needle felting will focus on what you need to needle felt, where to purchase supplies, and how to use the tools. You will needle felt a small Christmas Gnome by practicing the basic techiniques. Students will be supplied with a basic beginners kit including felting needles and wool.

Sketchbook Play with Marge Long
Let the sketchbook be your visual "library". Practice, experiment, & document and get creative with pencils, paints, or ink! Capture inspiration, develop ideas, explore materials without the pressure to be perfect. Let Marge show you how to open the sketchbook and doodle away! Bring a sketchbook - instructor will provide paper if you don't have one yet.

Beginners Crochet with Maria BridgeoThompson
Learn the basics of crochet to start on your fiber journey. In this class you will learn the basic stitches and create a winter headband or a kitchen potholder. Please let us know which item you'd like to work on. The instructor will provide the cotton threadings or yarn, crochet hook, and finishing needle for the item you are interested in making. Let the crocheting begin!
