L.E.A.D. Field Trip to Moran Iron Works!
This week students will travel to Moran Iron Works to tour the sculpture park and school. This trip offers a big picture vision of sculpture work and will offer a better idea of L.E.A.D.’s end goal: to create a sculpture for Art in the Alley here in Gaylord. Wednesday, March 5th, 3:30-6:30 Dinner and Transportation by bus to and from the Gallery included. FREE SPACE IS LIMITED! Email [email protected] to reserve your spot! If you have a teen interested in art, L.E.A.D. is the program for them! Through this program students will explore various styles of 2D and 3D art, develop leadership skills, and create a piece of art for Gaylord's Art in the Alley. This program is made possible by funding through Michigan Arts and Culture Council and Community Financial Credit Union's Relentless Care Foundation. |

This project is unique to the community because its focus is on connection: Geographic, economic and social. It transforms a 3-block downtown blighted alleyway into a gathering space that will connect the Iron Bell trailhead (west end) to the Claude Shannon Park (east end). It will also encourage individuals visiting the downtown social district to take advantage of the restaurants and businesses located in this area.
