Kids Art with Jill McKinleyIn this class with Jill McKinley, kids can create and take home their very own art projects in a variety of mediums and styles. Each week will offer a different project to be created, pay per individual class.
Tuesdays 3:30-4:30pm $10 per child, per week Ages 8-13 |
L.E.A.D.This year, L.E.A.D. students will focus on creating a variety of sculptures to be displayed in the community. From planning the design and gaining board approvals to sourcing the materials, students will learn the skills to confidently and appropriately bring art into their community.

Music and Literary Painting PromptJoin us for an artistic jam session! Artists will listen to a poem and paint or draw what they visualize while listening to Viola music playing in the background. Artists will have an opportunity to share their work at the end of the session.

Do you ever feel creatively stumped? Gaylord Arts is hosting a 100 Days Project weekly community meet up. Each member will commit to working on something every day for 100 days. You can create whatever you want: learn something new, work on a skill, capture moments, start a collection. All it takes is 5 minutes a day (or however long you wish!). The ideas are endless and totally up to you. Each week we will meet to share whatever we’ve done...no pressure, just encouragement!

Learn about color mixing, value, brush techniques, layering, and composition in this beginner to intermediate oil painting class with Richard Onica.
Richard Onica is an award-winning artist based in Michigan whose work celebrates the beauty of landscapes, animals, and the natural world. He has been accepted into numerous juried art exhibitions, including shows with Oil Painters of America and the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society. Working exclusively in oil, he focuses on capturing natural light, atmosphere, and the quiet character of outdoor scenes. His painting reflect a deep appreciation for nature and a commitment to realistic, expressive representation and craftsmanship.
