About the Juror
Andrew Rieder was born and grew up in Raleigh, NC where he also attended NC State University’s College of Design and received his Bachelor’s of Art & Design. Later, Andrew moved to the Midwest to study painting and drawing and earn his BFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He went on to receive his MFA from Michigan State University.
In 2010, Andrew began working in the Great Lakes Bay Region of Michigan where he continues to teach at Delta College as an Associate Professor of Art & Design. His work has been shown in national and international exhibition. Pieces of Andrew’s art are held in public and private collections. He lives in Owosso with his wife and daughter. |
Eligibility & Agreement
Submitting an entry into the Gaylord Arts 2024 Juried Fine Art Exhibit constitutes agreement by the artist to the conditions and requirements as stated in this Call for Entries. Michigan artists 14 years of age and older may enter. Part-time Michigan residents are eligible. All entries must be original works of the artist's own creation and have been completed in the last five years. Artwork accepted in previous juried Gaylord Arts' shows is not eligible for this exhibit. Gaylord Arts reserves the right to photograph accepted entries for publicity or archival purposes. The juror determines which entries will be displayed and given awards in the exhibit, but Gaylord Arts reserves the right to reject any work for any reason. All accepted works will remain as placed throughout the show (unless sold).
Sales, Conditions & Fees
Gaylord Arts will retain a 30% commission on the sale of any item displayed in this exhibit. Up to three pieces total may be submitted. A nonrefundable entry fee of $50 for Gaylord Arts' members or $60 for non-members must accompany each entry form. 2-D art must be framed and wired for hanging at the time of submission. No sawtooth hangers. Clearly print on the back of each piece:
- Artist's name,
- The title of work,
- medium
- price or "not for sale".

- Now - September 14, 2024: Accepting submissions (If submitting your entry form and fee on-line, artwork must be received at the gallery during open hours, no later September 14th at 2:00 p.m. (EDT).)
- TBD - Jurying
- September 17 - Artists notified via email of acceptance into the show.
- September 21 - Opening Reception and Award announcements (Open to the public)
- November 20th -22nd - All unsold artwork picked up.
PICKUP DATES:
- *September 20th - All Artwork not accepted into the show must be picked up from the gallery.
- *November 20 - 22 All artwork from the show must be picked up.
Submission Procedure
3 pieces may be submitted. Completed entry form, fee and physical artwork must be received no later than September 14, 2024 by 2:00 pm (EDT). Late entries will not be accepted. Artists will be notified by email regarding acceptance of artwork into the show.
