Who We Are
Gaylord Area Council for the Arts mission is “to nurture and promote a creative community by facilitating, sharing and encouraging individual expression through the art. For nearly 50 years we have been able to add new exhibits that support local artists, and programs and activities that meet the interest of our community. This in turn has supported the economic development of our community by helping to attract residents and tourists, while encouraging new businesses to locate here.
The COVID-19 crisis, however, has brought many unforeseeable economic challenges for us and our community. Challenges such as these will require creative solutions to overcome this crisis. It is against this backdrop, we realize fostering creativity through the arts has never been more important. This is why we recognize that even though we are facing hardships never seen before, Gaylord Area Council for the Arts must be committed to holding true and vigilant to the fulfillment of its mission.
We also recognize that only through support and donations from members, businesses, and individuals like you, will we be able to rise to the challenge to foster creative solutions within our community. Our continued existence depends on you.
