About the Instructor:
Carlene Lagrou is an accomplished visual art instructor with a strong educational background. She earned a BA and MA in the arts from Wayne State University. With her teaching experience at Northern Michigan University and in the adult education program at the University Center at Gaylord, Carlene has shared her expertise with aspiring artists. Her talent is widely recognized, evident in the numerous awards she has received and the presence of her watercolor and acrylic paintings across the United States. Carlene's artistic contributions extend to the local community, as she has created captivating murals on the exterior walls of Gaylord businesses. Regularly teaching at Gaylord Arts and actively participating in the Visual Arts Committee, Carlene remains dedicated to fostering artistic growth and promoting the arts.
